I have been doing my Spring Into Summer 100 Day Healthy Hair Challenge (#100DayHHC) for a month now and (sigh) I can say this has definitely been a challenge!

Let me first start with what I have NOT been doing.
Exercise and Healthy Eating: Exercising has been the hardest thing to do daily. I just started being active and I'm not going to give a list of a dozen things that have kept me busy this past month. Then, I would just be giving excuses! I am not going to let my lack of exercising and not eating my best steer me away from continuing this challenge and being stronger and more disciplined! I have discovered a few workouts that I am really excited about doing and I am going to document my progress. I won't be posting pictures and results until I actually complete the programs lol but just know I am going to change a lot about my lifestyle and I plan on sharing my journey with you guys in the near future! By the time you all read this, I would have already started my new healthy lifestyle plan...
Okay, now that that's out of the way, let's get into everything else:
Protective Styling: I'm so happy I've been staying on track with my protective styles. As you may know, I have been rocking the Clary Wig by Freetress Equal for the past two weeks and I am loving that wig. Just about everything about that unit is perfect so I have really been enjoying the change and the new look. I have only worn my hair out for two days since I started this challenge! Even this past weekend I thought I would wear it out and still resorted to my wig, lol! The ease of protective styling is amazing and I have really enjoyed being able to quickly moisturize and seal my hair, throw on a wig and just go!
Hair Vitamins: With my vitamins, I have accidentally skipped a few days but I realized I forgot to set my alarm on my phone as a reminder. Now that I have, I am consistent with taking them and am looking forward to seeing results soon! I can say one thing, even when I am not consistent with taking my vitamins, my nails grow like crazy (and they're always so strong)!
Moisturizing and Sealing My Hair: This has been something I have been doing faithfully every single day! I will either do this in the morning or at night, but either way I have not missed a day! I have to pat myself on the back for that! Check out how I moisturize and seal my hair riiiiight here!
Consistency with Regimen: So far I've been doing pretty good about sticking with my hair care regimen. I wear my satin bonnet every single night, I've been deep conditioning and washing my hair weekly. And, I can say that my hair seems to respond well to the fact that I have been consistent. I am still sticking with using 3 or less hair care lines. Right now I have only been using two and my hair and scalp are perfectly fine with that!
Scalp Massages: You guys should already know that I have been doing well with my scalp massages. While I'm typing this very sentence with one hand, I'm massaging my scalp with the other! Yes, my love for scalp massages is that serious! And with my scalp massage brush, I still give myself 15-20 minutes massages every day. I highly suggest if you want to take your scalp massages to another level or simply have something that will help you do more than 2 minutes a day, look into the scalp massage brush! It's only a little over $2 at Sally's so go purchase one today! I have a video on how I use the brush if you want to check it out!
The Greenhouse Effect: About a week into the challenge, I realized I wanted to do the Greenhouse Effect (GHE) to better moisturize, manage and grow my hair. So far I have been doing pretty good, only missing a few days here and there but I figure even 3 days out of the week is still pretty good, though there were a few weeks when I was doing the GHE 5 times a week, which is my goal!
Taking Time to Myself and Doing What Makes Me Happy: Surprisingly enough, this is something I can get a tad bit better about. Though I have taken more moments to myself and doing things I enjoy, I need to make it a habit to do this daily. So far, I have been spending time with my family, incorporating walks around the lake, enjoying a hot shower/bath and listening to my favorite artists regularly. I plan to start reading a book soon, doing my walks throughout the week and praying and journaling more. On my next update, I'm pretty sure I will be able to say that I have done more for me (without feeling selfish), especially with the weather changing and me loving the outdoors and nature!
Alright, guys, so that's my update! I wanted to be honest with you about everything. With this being a challenge there will be ups and downs. And my goal is to share what I have been doing and not doing so I can know what worked or did not work and why. (That was a mouthful, but you get what I'm saying lol!) If you have any questions about this challenge, let me know below and I will get back with you!
Thanks for Reading!
