How I Detangle My Natural 4c Hair!

When detangling natural hair, you have to be very careful not to snag or pop any of your strands. Doing so will cause breakage. Now, I know everyone has their preference of how they detangle their hair but this process works best for my hair and I!

Keep in mind, this is how I detangle my hair on non-wash days. On wash days, I use a co-wash as my detangler. (Check out my hair care regimen for more details!)

THE STEPS:

1. I section my hair, in 8-12 parts and use a butterfly clamp to secure each section.

2. I generously spray a section of my hair with a leave-in conditioner since they are filled with ultra-moisturizing properties and most times, detangling agents.

3. Then, I take a sturdy detangling comb, start from the ends and slowly comb up to my roots. Sometimes I may add a little bit of oil to help the comb glide through a bit more but usually the right leave-in conditioner will do the trick!

4. Afterwards, I usually twist my hair back up so it can dry, tangle-free.

And, that's it! It's so simple, easy and really keeps my hair from knotting up! I hope to have a video up on this by the end of the month...so stay tuned! Subscribe to my YouTube channel, if you have not already. I am currently working on an schedule and should begin posting videos regularly within the next few weeks!

Thank you all for your continued support!!
